Highlights: Danny Semaan is a dual-degree MD/MBA student at the University of Michigan Medical School and Ross School of Business. Throughout medical school, Danny has focused on lean healthcare and process improvement initiatives.
Education: Daniel earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan. He has completed up to the first half of his M4 year and is beginning his MBA at Ross in September of 2017.
Developing and implementing electronic surveys completed by patients to be used in the General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Urology outpatient clinics to assist in clinic management and patient satisfaction strategy
Analyzing surgical times, systems failures, and staffing data using lean techniques and providing workflow and staffing recommendations for standardized care pathways
Working with patients, residents, and clinicians in hospital and clinic setting through medical school rotational programs, learning the ins and outs of the clinical care
Creating and managing a seven-part seminar series with medically related entrepreneur speakers who shared their successful experiences and setbacks exposing students to the reality of the entrepreneurial life cycle, resulting in several students becoming mentees of the speakers
